7. Help with the On-Stage Entertainment!
You may help contribute something for the on-stage entertainment program at the end of the march, which will be at the Arts Council Depot.  Everyone is invited to bring their own blanket and picnic, relax on the lawn and enjoy the entertainment on stage.  (No alcohol permitted.)  Please see follow the rules and steps listed below, if you are interested in providing entertainment. *
6. Help Create Signs and Banners for the March!
You can team-up with a group to design, paint and decorate a few light-weight banners to carry during the march.  You can be as simple or as creative as you like -- use posterboard, bed sheets, spray paint, magic markers, glitter, rope, etc.  Just keep it light-weight!  Our theme this year is very broad, allowing for messages about peace, unity, harmony, justice, open dialogue, teamwork and the like.
5. Help Bring Others to the March!
You can collaborate with your church, school or other group to organize a "field trip" to Gainesville for the date of the march.  You could help organize a van trip or just a simple car pool.
4. Help with Donations!
We welcome monetary donations (small and large) to help cover the cost of the equipment, photocopying and facility rentals.  T-shirt sponsorships and donations of fruits and bottled water are welcome, too.  We will also need activities for the children, such as clowns and face painting.  For more details please contact us or you can mail your donation.
3. Email Your Friends!
You can send an email message to people you know, telling them about the march and encouraging them to come on October 28!  In your email, be sure to mention that the Peace March 2000 web site will always have up-to-date details about the day's events!

2. Help Distribute Fliers!
You can download our official flier, make xerox copies and distribute them to friends, family, neighbors, civic club members and co-workers!   Ask religious leaders about copying the flier and including it in their weekly bulletin or program!  To download the flier, click here.  Please note: Flier will be available Friday, September 15, 2000.
1. Most Importantly: Come to the March!
The best way to participate is by coming to Gainesville on Saturday, October 28 and joining us as we march in celebration of the many positive accomplishment we have made as a community!  Celebrate peace, justice and harmony -- and then join us at the Arts Council Depot for the post-parade gathering, lots of fun and plenty of entertainment!
* For the on-stage entertainment program, we welcome individual singers, small and large singing ensembles, complete church choirs, motivational speakers, musicians,  guitar players, keyboard players, percussion, dramatic/theatrical presentations and dance groups.  All presentations should relate to the theme of "Many Faces in the City of God."  This theme covers such topics as unity, harmony, diversity, open dialogue, teamwork and so forth.   Any talents you have to offer will be much appreciated!  If you want to be included in the program, you must complete an Application for Stage Time and fax or mail your completed application by Friday, October 20th so that we can give you a specific time slot in the program schedule.   Fax: (770) 297-9050.  Mailing Address: Peace March Committee, 1502 Carter Street, Suite 205, Gainesville, GA  30501.  For more information:  Greg Bautista (770) 297-7755, cell phone (770) 654-3949, email bautista@gcapp.org
